XSL ISAPI Filter 2.1

Previous ItemPrevious NextNext Item
Product:  XSL ISAPI Filter 2.1

Enables and simplifies server-side XSL formatting for multiple device types.
Category:  XSLT Utilities
Details:  The Microsoft® XSL ISAPI filter enables and simplifies server-side XSL formatting for multiple device types. It features automatic execution of XSL style-sheets on the server with the choice of alternate style-sheets based on browser device characteristics or XML document type, style-sheet caching for improved server performance, the ability to specify output encoding, post-processing support for certain cell phone markup languages, and customizable error messages.

XSL ISAPI 2.1 offers many improvements over XSL ISAPI 2.0, including:
compatibility with MSXML 3.0
support for #include declarations in PASP files
increased performance and the ability to specify arbitrary URLs (including those that hit other servers) where paths are required

The XSL ISAPI Filter is targeted for use on Microsoft Windows® 2000 Server and Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server running with MSXML 2.5, MSXML 2.6 or MSXML 3.0. Other configurations that will work, but haven?t been exhaustively tested, include:
Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional
Microsoft Windows NT® 4.0 with Internet Information Server 4.0 (IIS) and Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater will work; however, see the Known Issues document for additional limitations when using dynamically generated XML (it can be found at the top level of the XSL ISAPI distribution). You must substitute a file during the installation process.
